Where Engineering Meets Identity.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide professionals tools that are mechanically elite, visually striking, and emotionally connective—machines that become an extension of the artist's hand.

Our Merit

We don't outsource our soul. From frame to function, everything is crafted by trusted hands with obsessive attention to detail.

Our Promise

We promise craftsmanship over convenience. No shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just pure mechanical excellence-responsive, refined, and raw where it counts.

Our Impact

We elevate the craft of tattooing by equipping professionals with machines that inspire precision, deepen connection, and amplify artistry—one build at a time.

Meet Our Founder.

Dan Kubin/ CEO, Owner, Founder, Magician

My Story

Sometimes tragedy is the doorway to our greatest achievements.
This definitely resonates with me.
A broken kneecap put an abrupt stop on my endeavors into the freestyle bmx world and the innovations I had planned for that community.
After a major depression and some serious soul searching, I decided to focus my efforts into tattooing.
I immediately started toying with making my own machines, and had made several before doing my first tattoo.
After some criticism from my mentor, I put my builds on hold to focus on the actual craft of tattooing.
Fast forward 5 years with more experience, and my wife complaining about me dumping all my earnings on my quest for the "unicorn" machine, I decided to invest in some simple manual machining equipment, and set out to make a machine I actually loved and could rely on.
As I put more effort into my builds, I made a promise to myself and the tattoo gods to only contribute to tattooing; and not to take from those before me.
In simple terms, I only create what is needed, and innovate where things are lacking. I continue to pioneer on my own path of how I want tattoo equipment to be.
As a result, I have developed my own genre of tattoo machines. Machines that pay homage to what is magical and beautiful with coils, with a marriage of consistency and ergonomics that can be achieved using a rotary motor.
In 2019, I was overwhelmed with demand, and made a decision to engage in a licensing deal with Workhorse Irons. This allows me to continue to develop new products without having to discontinue tried and true past designs.
At the same time, I have been heavily focused on CNC machining and programming. This investment in furthering my manufacturing skill set has laid a solid foundation for much more creative solutions I have up my sleeve!
In 2024, I unexpectedly lost my wife, Adrienne. She was the COO of my company. She handled the emails, the website, taxes, customer support...even down to soldering motors and assembly of some machines.
When she passed, it shook me to the point of needing to cease operations and take an 8 month sabbatical. Taking time to process things has helped me reassess my life, my business and more importantly, to re-align myself. This new outlook has given me the chance to get reinvigorated and excited about what I can create and how I can contribute to tattooing again.
I have hired back a trusted and dear friend, Dakota Logan to serve as my new COO of the company. I have the help and support of my new partner, Aura Jane to keep me organized, inspired and on track. I look forward to a new approach and a new life with my company, and thank you for being here

to support me on that ride!

When I’m not being a mad scientist making machines, tattooing and traveling, you’ll find me riding my bmx bike, going for walks with my partner Aura and our dogs, doing yoga and calisthenics, regularly taking ice baths and cooking nutritious and healthy meals with intention. You can also find me making music as my alter ego Havana Dan in and around Kansas City and elsewhere (as well as Spotify!).

The DK Vision Moving Forward...

Innovation. Performance. Beauty.

I came into tattooing with the promise to contribute.

I saw I had something to offer the tattooing community.

When it comes to my tattooing equipment, my promise is that I will only produce what is needed and solve the issues of what is lacking.

There are plenty of "plug and play" machines on the market designed for beginners with poor training.

In contrast, I am here to serve those looking for the instrument for intentional, efficient, precision tattooing.

As machine building takes away from my time to tattoo, I find it crucial that I am able to express my artistic side through the design and aesthetic of my equipment. These machines are more than a tool. They are a work of art. They are intended to become an extension of your hand. To be dialed in to how you want to tattoo.

Just like driving a well built motorcycle down a beautiful winding road, I want you to have that same visceral experience when using my machine. It becomes less about the destination, but the ride itself: and time flies when you're having fun!

About our production. It is quality over quantity. We are focused on both innovative new machines, as well as bespoke staples from the stable. Machines are manufactured either in house by myself, or at my affiliated local counterpart machine shop; consisting of Kansas City's most esteemed machinists.

Once a machine has stood the test of time, it becomes licensed to Workhorse Irons; while still manufactured by my trusted machinists. This template allows for us to keep a small, yet focused menu which translates into the best possible experience for both you and us.

On top of having this structure, DK Rotary has our European front covered by Greg Howie, a resident tattoo artist in France. Greg started as a certified repair technician circa 2022. In 2024, Greg took on a larger role in doing the assembly and finishing work for our machines sold by DK Europe. This allows for better pricing and tax advantages for our European customers.

Our current lineup of in house machines is the 46er and V7. In June of 2024, my wife Adrienne unexpectedly passed away. In order to keep things going, DK Rotary co-licenced Workhorse Irons to assemble and distribute these machines as well.

We have an exciting new lineup of machines in the works, but in the meantime, we will be focused on putting the utmost attention into these models that come from our site.

Workhorse Irons is currently handling the Sidewinder V3r model, Mojobox, MCi, Ghostdog Revival, and sharing rights to sell the 46er and V7 Sidewinders as well.

Dakota Logan/ COO, Finder

My Story

I’m beyond grateful to be back doing what I love, alongside someone who’s been more than a boss—Dan has been a true friend and a defining force in my life. Our story is unconventional but solid: whenever one of us needed the other, the timing just clicked. I first met Dan when I began getting heavily tattooed. I became a loyal client coming in weekly. We connected instantly, and that connection naturally evolved into me starting working with Dan at 19 years old, powder coating parts and soldering motors. Over time, that evolved into full machine assembly—and today, I serve as the COO of DK Rotary.

My journey hasn’t been a straight line. I’ve navigated different careers, stacked up skillsets, and brought it all back here—where I now lead operations, refine systems, and help push the DK legacy forward with the same passion and precision that built it from the ground up.

Also, let’s be honest—around here, I’m known as The Finder. If Dan loses it, I find it. I’m Alfred to his Batman, the calm in the chaos, making sure nothing gets missed. It’s a wild ride, but it’s ours—and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. We are DK Rotary.

A precision-driven tattoo machine expert and supply operations strategist, I oversee the global success of Dan Kubin Rotary and manage every facet of production.

My Story

With over 17 years of experience as a tattoo artist, an extensive sales background in the UK and USA and a global upbringing in multiple countries, I blend creativity and professionalism in my role as Creative Solutions Director at DK Rotary. My diverse responsibilities include product testing, sales representation, and managing client relationships across various channels. I also ensure smooth operations as Personal Assistant to Dan, whilst assisting with content creation and photography to effectively showcase our brand. In addition, as an HR Manager, I oversee payroll and public relations to enhance organizational culture.

When I’m not working at DK Rotary, I’m tattooing alongside my partner Dan in our private studio, where we hold space for every tattoo, to give the best healing experience. I also run Awakened Aura Coaching, helping seekers uncover their ikigai and embark on their paths to self-improvement and healing.

Passionate about roller skating, art and costuming, I am creating the KC chapter of Geaux Roll, a community that celebrates the joy of skating that I originally started in New Orleans in 2019. I’m an intuitive tarot reader with 13 years experience, and I’m working towards getting certified in Yin Yoga, blending ASMR and positive affirmations in my upcoming classes!

On top of that, when we’re not travelling, Dan and I love exploring the outdoors with our dogs, Leopold and Diana. You'll often find us biking, skating, or soaking up the local music scene in Kansas City!
