The Full Monty is the whole package. It's more than a basic pen. It has the balls to go with it.
This is a completely new innovation for tattoo machines.
This machine boasts functionality and adjustability similar to that of a Sidewinder 46er, and Sidewinder 7.5. Adjustable stroke, and adjustable spring tension; each includes parameters to prevent getting lost in the adjustments.
This machine is ergonomically very "pen like" yet offers the option for both standard needle and cartridge set-ups.
The Full Monty has a new, innovative design for adjusting the needle depth with a thumbscrew, versus twisting the grip.
Dan also worked out a way to use an offset, pivoting nipple post to allow for a lower center of gravity and mitigate spitting issues, which has been a problem for new sidewinder users.
The Full Monty also uses an o-ring to retain the needle. This results in fewer setup variables, greater stability, and much longer longevity as compared to a rubber band.
This machine also features an o-ring impact muffler. The armature bar is designed to slightly engage the o-rings before the impact screw hits. This allows for dampened sound, while delivering a crisp hit as is expected from a Sidewinder.

Brass frame, aluminum grip: 8.5 oz
Brass frame, brass grip: 14.5 oz
Aluminum frame, brass grip: 13.25 oz
Aluminum frame, aluminum grip: 7.25 oz
While this machine has similar functions to a Sidewinder, it is still its own beast.
It has a good amount of snap and give. Not too hard; definitely not too soft.
For those who find a standard Sidewinder to be too brutal, this would be an excellent option.
For those who want the feel of a "real" machine but prefer the ergonomics of a pen.
For those who love the Sidewinder but couldn't figure out how to stop it from spitting.
